Earned Media refers to publicity gained through efforts other than paid advertising. It includes any exposure or coverage that is achieved through organic means, such as news stories, social media mentions, reviews, or word-of-mouth recommendations. Unlike paid media, which is purchased, or owned media, which is controlled by the brand itself, earned media is earned through the value and merit of the content or the brand’s activities. This form of media is often seen as more credible because it is based on third-party validation rather than direct promotion.
